Nigerian female sensational singer, Tiwa Savage, has been announced as a replacement for Davido at the AfroNation festival scheduled to hold in Accra, Ghana.
Naija News reports that the festival will be held on December 29 and 30, 2022, with performances from P-Square, Meek Mill, CKay, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, Oxlade, Asake, Scorpion Kings, Rema, and many other singers.
In a statement shared on Instagram on Friday, December 2, 2022, the event organizers announced that Davido would no longer be performing at the event.
The statement also disclosed that Adekunle Gold who was slated to perform alongside Davido has been replaced with British-Nigerian rapper, Skepta.
The replacement of Davido comes following the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke who drowned on October 31, 2022.
The post reads: “Phase four Skepta and Tiwa Savage are the latest additions to December’s line up. Unfortunately Davido and Adekunle Gold will no longer be performing for reasons out of our control but we hope to see them in future shows.”
MI Abaga Discloses His Observation About Davido Fans
Meanwhile, Nigerian rapper, Jude Lemfani Abaga, popularly known as MI Abaga, has reacted to the turnout at Davido fans’ concert in Lagos.
Naija News earlier reported that fans of the ‘If’ crooner held a concert in Lagos on Thursday night, December 2, 2022, to show solidarity for the singer over the death of his child, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
