1. Darci Lynne Farmer, America’s Got Talent

Darci Lynne auditioned for AGT Season 13 when she was 12 years old. She charmed the judges with a powerhouse performance of “Summertime” with her puppet Petunia, earning the Golden Buzzer from Mel B. Darci continued in the competition, showing off even more puppet friends, until she was eventually named the winner. She’s the third ventriloquist to win the show, after Terry Fator and Paul Zerdin.

2. Jamie Leahey, Britain’s Got Talent

During the most recent Series 15 on BGT, this 13-year-old auditioned with his puppet friend Chuck. The judges and audience erupted in laughter over their funny banter. They ended the audition with a singing performance of “Me and My Shadow,” earning a standing ovation. Jamie ended up finishing the competition in second place, behind comedian Axel Blake.

3. Isabella Jane, South Africa’s Got Talent

In 2015, 16-year-old Isabella Jane auditioned for South Africa’s Got Talent with her puppet Rosie, who interacted with the judges and host. Isabella and Rosie then launched into a strong rendition of “Let It Go” from Frozen. The judges were surprised Isabella was so young, initially asking if she had a day job. Isabella ended up finishing the season in second place.

4. Ana Maria Margean, Romania’s Got Talent

In 2021, this 11-year-old ventriloquist auditioned for Romania’s Got Talent with her puppet, performing “I Put a Spell on You” and “You Don’t Own Me.” She continued performing even after the judges gave her a standing ovation. Ana Maria earned a Golden Buzzer and ended up winning the entire competition with her impressive talent.

5. Darci Lynne Farmer, AGT: The Champions

In 2019, Darci Lynne returned to the AGT stage for Champions. She performed with her puppet Oscar, singing “Nutbush City Limits” and “Proud Mary.” Although the superfans voted her into the top three of the night, she was ultimately eliminated. Darci was later chosen as a wildcard, and ended up finishing in second place behind fellow former winner Shin Lim.
