All is not well in the campaign of the embattled leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, as two of lawyers have dragged their disagreement to the public.
Naija News reports that American lawyer and spokesperson for the IPOB leader, Bruce Fein had in a letter asked Ifeanyi Ejiofor, one of Kanu’s lawyer, to stop defending the pro-Biafra activist.
Fein cited a pending lawsuit instituted by an unnamed businessman against Ejiofor over an alleged fraud of N5.6 million.
The US based lawyer asked Ejiofor to immediately withdraw from the legal team of Nnamdi Kanu, stressing that he is not fit to battle the Federal Government in court.
Reacting to the allegations levelled against him, Ejiofor accused Fein of being bitter because he failed to see Kanu when he was in Nigeria.
“Don’t mind him (Fein). I will send you a letter which I used to appoint Fein as Kanu’s representative. I appointed Nnamdi Kanu’s spokesperson in the United States and now, because he was unable to see Nnamdi Kanu here in Nigeria, he was alleging that I was the one who stopped him from seeing Kanu. He has no locus to start writing anything,” Ifeanyi Ejiofor had told SaharaReporters.
He, however, did not address the alleged pending lawsuit instituted by a businessman against him.
Recall that operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, had on September 2021, prevented Bruce Fein from seeing Kanu when he visited with the legal team.
