Jennifer Hudson is getting her own daytime talk show and fans have a new promo to get them excited for the premiere in September. The American Idol alum shares what her show will be all about in a colorful 30-second clip.
In the promo, Hudson appears on a sparkly orange background, wearing a coordinating sweater dress and showing off a pixie haircut. She starts the clip by saying, “It’s go time, people.”
“We all have a story to tell,” Hudson continues. “We all want to find our light and let it shine. So let’s come together to laugh out loud, to share some hope and joy, and go back to connecting with each other. All on my new show.”
The promo also features a shot of Hudson singing into a microphone, teasing that the star will be performing music on the show. Could it be similar to The Kelly Clarkson Show‘s “Kellyoke” segment, in which the fellow Idol star performs a new cover every day?

Hudson Promises Honesty on Her New Show
This isn’t the first promo for The Jennifer Hudson Show that has been released. Last month, the show teased clips from the set. One of the clips even featured Hudson hugging America’s Got Talent star Angelica Hale!
“I’ve lived a lot of life, and I’m still here,” Hudson says in the promo. “Now, it’s time to sit down and have some fun. I want to talk to somebody.”
The EGOT winner goes on to promise fans that “you’re gonna get quality, you’re gonna get honesty, you’re gonna get all of my heart, and don’t forget the fun.” At the end of the clip, Hudson can be seen holding a microphone and singing for the audience.
Hudson’s talk show premieres September 12 (Hudson’s birthday), with producers who previously worked on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
