America’s Got Talent Season 18 will not be airing any new auditions this week. Instead, NBC will air a special called “Simon’s Most Memorable Auditions.” Fans will have to wait until next week to see any new acts take the stage.

AGT to Air ‘Simon’s Most Memorable Auditions’ Special

Instead of a new episode of Season 18 auditions, NBC is airing “Simon’s Most Memorable Auditions” on Tuesday night at 8/7c. The special will feature judge Simon Cowell talking to host Terry Crews about some of his favorite past auditions.

Notably, the episode will reportedly feature Cowell’s favorite auditions from both America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent. This means that American fans who don’t keep up with BGT might have a few new-to-them acts to enjoy during the special.

A promo for the special (shared on the AGT Twitter account) reveals that the list was originally only supposed to include 15 auditions, but Cowell changed it to 16, because he “couldn’t lose one of the acts.”

If the concept of this episode sounds familiar, you might be thinking of last year’s special, in which Cowell counted down his favorite Golden Buzzers from the show. Unsurprisingly, Cowell chose Nightbirde for his No. 1 spot.

Season 18 Live Shows Kick Off Next Month

America’s Got Talent Season 18 live shows are scheduled to kick off on August 22, as the show moves to two nights a week. Wednesday, August 23, will mark the first results show of the season, as we find out who earned enough votes from America to move on.

Until then, we still have even more auditions to enjoy. There are still two Golden Buzzer acts left this season — one from judge Sofia Vergara, and one group Golden Buzzer from all four judges plus host Terry Crews.

NBC’s fall schedule was recently revealed, with the AGT Season 18 finale set to air over two nights on September 26 and 27. That means we still have two months left before a winner is crowned.
