According to her story narrated by advocate Mutichilo Mike, she boarded the bus heading to Kahawa West in the morning while on her way to work.
Mutichilo noted the young lady would later be left as the only passenger in the vehicle as she had to alight at the furthest bus stage.
Unfortunately, the matatu crew decided to take a diversion to what he described as a dark alley which prompted her to raise alarm but tout tried to lock her in urging her to keep quiet.

"The driver refused to stop but instead increased the volume of the music to drown the 'noise'.The tout struggles to lock her in and told her to keep quiet. What would you do? What do we call that?" said Mutichilo. The PSV, registration number KCB 471R, is said to have diverted towards Kiambu and the two men refused to let the young lady alight for reasons known exclusively to them.
Fortunately, the motorcycle operators around noticed the scuffle, blocked the mini-bus from escaping and called the Kiamumbi Police.

However, it was not long before the matatu was released to continue operating while Mercy nursed injuries at the hospital with piled bills.
It is said the driver and tout were released on a KSh 30,000 after being charged for negligence.
Mercy is now seeking justice and help to raise the hospital bill.
